Hello guys, I am building a new PC with these specs:

Cooler Master HAF 912 Combat Mid Tower Desktop Case
Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H Socket 1151 Motherboard
Intel Core I5-6600K 6M Skylake 3.5GHz LGA 1151 Desktop Processor
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5 WINDFORCE 2X
Cooler Master Elite V2 500W PSU
Crucial Ballistix Elite 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 2666 CL16 1.2V

I plan to play some games on 768p. (Arkham Knight, Skyrim, Black Flag, etc...) I don't really care for 60FPS if I am getting 30+ FPS with decent graphics than that's good enough for me. I also plan to work a bit with Autocad(Engineering) and some Graphic designing on Photoshop.

Are these specs. good enough? Let me know, thanks.

Your mobo is way overkill. I'd get a B150M mobo, with a i5-6500 processor. You'll save some money that way, and it's a good choice compared to that GPU. Want a more powerful CPU? Get a Z170 mobo, and an i5-6600K. That one is as strong as your Devils Canyon one, but I don't think you need that for gaming/grapic Designing. I'd use the money you save on CPU and motherboard for a better GPU, you'll need that for sure, get a GTX 970 instead. 500w PSU is just fine. Ram should fit in all boards, as long as you choose DDR4 variants. Don't forget you'll need some storage too... I'd get a 250Gig Samsung 850 EVO SSD to put all your programs on, and windows, to reduce loading times and startup times. If you need more storage you can buy an extra, large HDD for a cheap price, or buy a bigger SSD, but that'll be pricy. Good luck!

Hey,

1) I'll start with this: your MOBO & CPU don't support DDR4 RAM! You need to go for DDR3 RAM or go for a LGA1151 (eventually 2011-3) CPU and MOBO (skylake or haswell-E)

2) Are you planning on overclocking your CPU? If not, save your money and go for a non-K CPU.

3) Your PSU is not recommended. See its review: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/cooler-master-extreme-power-plus-500-w-power-supply-review/
Go with it ONLY and ONLY if you can't afford anything else. But, I highly suggest to go for another one if you don't want to damage your whole set-up. See this thread to choose a quality PSU: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferably)

4) Your motherboard is too high-end compared to the rest of your set-up. Unless you plan on upgrading with SLI GPU, get a cheaper version and buy a better PSU instead.

EDIT: also, go for 2x4Gb Ram instead of 1x8Gb, it will be more efficient thanks to dual channel.

Would the performance change if I get a B150M instead of a Z97(Overclocking, speed, etc..?

The system I built costs around 6910EGP. I should have probably mentioned that I am in a tight budget of 7000EGP(900$). The components here in Egypt cost a little more than in the US or any other European country.

Is the i5 6500 Processor better than the 4690K? It is cheaper by 200EGP here.

The B150M boards are non-OC boards, if you want to OC, get a Z170 board and a i5-6600K, that's a little better than your 4690K. Z170 supports your DDR4 RAM.

1) Would there be a significant change if I go with DDR3 Ram instead of DDR4? In terms of PC speed and game frames?

2) I don't really plan to overclock anything for the time being. What processor would you recommend? 4690 non K version or something else?

3) Thanks for the link, I'll look into it and edit the topic later on.

4) No SLI. What other mobo would you recommend for my build? Sorry, not a PC expert.

Wouldn't it be better to go with 1x8GB if I am planning to add another 8GB in the future or is 2x4GB significantly better or perhaps I can fit 4x4GB in the PC?

1) DDR4 is new and for now performance gains are minimal, DDR3 is even ahead of DDR4 under certain conditions. But DDR4 is evolving and is becoming the new standard.
If you haven't bought anything, I suggest to go for DDR4 and gor for a skylake CPU and 1151 socket motherboard.

2) If you go with DDR4: get a i5-6500 or i5-6600 CPU (socket 1151) and B150 or H170 motherboard, you can't overclock on them but they are cheaper than Z170 mothgerboard (which you can overclock).
If you go with DDR3, yes the i5-4690 (with a socket 1150 motherboard) is a great option, but I still suggest to go for socket 1151 (CPU & motherboard) for a better upgradability.

3) Go for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 PSU, Tier 3 is also acceptable if you don't overclock. It would be a shame to damage your PC because of the PSU.

4) For the motherboard:
- Socket 1151: H170 or B150 as you don't plan on overclocking.
- Socket 1150: H97 or B85 as you don't plan on overclocking.
Still, I suggest socket 1151 and B150 will be enough for you (MSI B150 Gaming M3 is fine)

And yes, if you plan to buy a second 8Gb RAM you can - for now - stay with one 8Gb RAM and get a second stick later.

How about this?

Cooler Master HAF 912 Combat Mid Tower Desktop Case
Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H Socket 1151 Motherboard
Intel Core I5-6600K 6M Skylake 3.5GHz LGA 1151 Desktop Processor
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5 WINDFORCE 2X
Cooler Master Elite V2 500W PSU
Crucial Ballistix Elite 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 2666 CL16 1.2V

For my next upgrade in a year or two, I'll probably add another 8GB of RAM and depending on how games run .. I am going to buy a more powerful Graphics card.

This is a much better set-up which leaves you the ability to overclock. HOWEVER, the PSU is still a problem.

It is Tier 4 in the PSU Tier List (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html), and PSU on this Tier are not meant for gaming. I checked reviews of it and it doesn't seem to be a good PSU. It is the weak point of your set-up.

jonnyGURU review: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story2&reid=386

So, you just need to change the PSU. If you're on a budget, try looking up Seasonic S12II 520W or Antec HCG 520W, they are quality PSU and not so expensive.
