I have Samsung 8GB memory card.I got this micro SD card as a tab content from my past institution.i cannot format by using format method, windows registry method as well as cmd method.I used a Usb as card instead of card reader. And I downloaded the SD formatter and Fat32 formater but didnt work..It is of FAT 32.The SD formater says"Please release the write protected switch"Fat 32 formater says that the disk is unallocated!Help me with this issue:(

Solution
If you're using a Micro SD adapter (which converts it to the bigger sd card thats supported by most devices like camera) make sure that the lock switch on the side of it is set to the correct position. this lock allows you to enable write protection and disable it as well. if its up, it may be disabled. if its down, it might be enabled and you need to flip it back up (the position may be different for some adapters)
