Hello to all i need info about what type of RAMs i should buy!
Before 4 days i bought a Asus MOBO
model is : M5A99FX PRO R2
So to put my AMD Phenom II x4 965BE or my 955BE in it .

I dont KNOW what RAM i should get/install in my new mobo because i dont know if my AMD CPU will work with a 2DIMM kit RAM (8gb+8gb=16bg) having a stock frequency each kit of 1866Mhz or 1600Mhz kit and if its possible to work fine those kits at a lower speed of 1333 which i know this is the highest frequency that my phenom II x4 supports?? So when i buy after few years a newer CPU model will have not to buy a new pear of RAMS......
Thanks a lot in advance please respont ASAP!! please!!!

If you saw my previously posted response, please forget it.
I see by your question you understand the limits of your CPU and what is supposed to work with the mobo. The only way you will find out if you CPU will actually run those new RAM sticks is to try them (unless someone else has already tried this and answers this thread). I doubt that you will hurt anything by doing that. I would try one stick at a time before placing both in their slots: Don't forget that when you use the two sticks together they go into the A2 and B2 slots (I believe those are the blue ones).

Thank you very much sir for both of your answers which the first made my smile but the second to wonder because of your last word "even if its manage to boot" ?? !
Sir, which are those two processors ONLY support up to 1333MHz in DDR3? Can you plese type down here?
Last i would like to ask you something erelevant if i may make by this place>
I notice your profile picture "avatar" is a plane and your profile nick name is no stall, are you a Flight Simer? Because me (36y.o) and my dad (64 y.o ) we both FSX simers pilots since the old version of FS98 , and i try to upgrade the hardware of my dads PC.
I believe sir too that new mobo i bought for my dad (ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2) will run fine in compination with phenom2 x4 965BE or 955BE BUT i must be very sure if mobo will BOOT up the sistem, because have not a private bank at my backyard so to spend another 100euros , hehe! no money no honey!
THank you dear sir , for spending your precious time answer me and i apreciate a lot for helping me!
look forward to pay back you some day!

My previous reply goes for your first answer sir !
Yes i should wait for answer from someone who all ready test this hardware for sure!
(I do understand computer science orology in general as thi is my edu.field so you can inform me also by using more details sir if you do happen to have more detailed infos).
Ofcourse yes i do always install one by one the dimms when i have to test a pc i own or a pc of a customer as i do fix PCs in general... You're perfectly right!
I would be very glad and will apreciate if you do know anyone who knows that 1866mhz ram or a 1600 kit with 8,9 or 10 CAS or even 11CAS will run perfectly and able to boot up normaly in a stable system and if i don't face ram errors and any other issues such as BSODs or else, by a kit of a *UNDERCLOCKED* rams cause we want to save money for the next hardware upgrade with the same MOBO but newer CPU when will shall be able next years to buy, and if ofcourse not a 3rd WW will happen in planet earth :( :)))

We mostly thank you for your effort on helping us sir!

Unfortunately I don't know anyone who has tried the combination(s) you are considering; hopefully other forum members will take a look at this. I think it will work but that is simply my opinion.
Yes, I started out in computers and gaming with MS Combat Flight Sim and others. I love flying and for many years held a pilots license in real life. I do not play FS X, but have in the past. Currently am not "flying" at all - in real life nor on the PC; simply not enough time to devote to it. My absolute favorite airplanes are the SR-71 Blackbird (for jet propelled) and the P-51D Mustang (piston engine), hence the avatar and name.
{ 3 most useless things for a pilot: Runway behind you. Altitude above you. And a tenth-of-a-second ago. Oh, one last thing - you never have to much fuel unless you are on fire! }.

Ofcourse thank you sir! I have search a lot but not see in any forum or companies any define and straight answer about 1866 i only found before some minutes 1600mhz. But i just find from G.SKill page directions for underclock for both!!! So i belive i can buy 1866 or 1600!
Hehehehe i total agree with your apothegm sir and its too my favourite jet since was 8 y.o is SR71 and the Mustang P-51 propelled piston engine to do aerobatics but i like 2 more which are newer the Stealth and the Sukhoi T-50 stealth fighter but i love also Flying the Vought F4U "Corsair" Fighter the Spitfire also!! Unfortunately i didnt manage to be able to affort money for a pilot license because in my country costs a lot of money, when i move to US or Canada i will for sure!!! I also design planes with pencil since was a kid and done some models ofcourse in my pc even my own models !
