Not understanding my new motherboard settings any help will be appreciated.

Hi don't understand why my memory in bios option AMD application power manager when enabled goes from 1333mhz to 840mhz.. what i wanted to do is change them to 1600mhz if that's possible ? everything is running at stock i'm aware my cpu can go up too but how much i don't know i would like to know the safest way to do this or don't bother at all. thx in advance

my specs are..

AMD fx-8350 with Corsair Hydro Series H75 Liquid CPU Cooler
Fatal1ty 990FX Killer/3.1
4x8gb DDR3 identical ram 32gb but 1333
Sapphire R9 270X 4GB 1020MHz GDDR 5
samsung ssd 840 Evo 250g
Corsair HX1000i Power supply.

Yeah your right was brought in error was supposed to be 1600mhz dint notice till they arrived and couldn't send them back as faulty as id opened them up so i thought id try move them up to 1600mhz instead but im a bit rusty in the bios part tho not sure how if i disable AMD application power manager they go back to 1333mhz and i can change it to 1600mhz would i have to do anything to cpu or just leave it. thx again
