Advice on RGB LED strips and maybe a mouse pad

So I'm planning on getting a gaming PC in the near future, and I'd like to know what LED strips would be efficient yet cheap to accent my build. Also what mouse pad would you recommend? The Turtle Beach Drift (Wide) is too big to fit on my keyboard tray, and it has a huge logo on it. Can you recommend a decent medium sized black mouse pad with a small/nonexistent logo.

For LED's it depends how good you are at DIY.
