Hey everyone!
Yesterday I received my 2nd MSI GTX 980 for SLI, as well as my Supernova G2 850W Full Modular PSU.
However, the new PSU apparently only came with these kinds of cables..
x2 8+6 Pin Cables /// x2 8 Pin Cables
Each of my GPU needs 8+8 Cables.
So, I used the included MSI Adapter for 6 to 8 Pin for one card.
But, the other card I used my Seasonic PCI 8+8Pin cable, as I don't really have any other choice.
Now I have a question. Is that safe? Seeing as people order custom cables from CableMod all of the time, etc.
Or, would I be able to get rid of the Seasonic PCI cable, and just use the two separate 8 Pin cables? Meaning, two separate non daisy chained cables, to one GPU?
