I have a 2.5" old laptop harddrive that's 500 GB that I want to use because I burned up my 1TB HDD and right now I'm using a 320 GB HDD as my full time drive and space is becoming a problem.... I connect the hard drive and on the first screen my PC goes to when it boots I can see both drives are connected, sata 0 and sata 1... I go into the bios and they are both there and everything is good.. When I boot all the way in the drive doesn't show up.. :/

You neeed to allocate it. Control panel > Administrative tools > computer management > disk management, you should handle it from there.
