How to purge out Power Supply energy?

Hi guys, i would like to ask, what is the best way to purge out your PSU energy when having to work in the computer or move it around?

Some people say that it's best to turn off PSU switch, unplug the pc and press the power switch of the case, but what I was doing so far was, turning off the PSU switch, turn off the power extension cord and the wall outlet switch, then proceed to press the case button like the first method!

Is my method good as well? Or would it not work because the pc is still plugged in?

you want to unplug the pc. it save you from shorting out the pc if you leave the outlet on. when you unplug the pc from the wall give the pc a few min to discharge,most new mb have green power good led. wait for that led to go out.
when you move a pc take a quick look inside if your going to lan game or bring it over to a friend house. a lot of time ram or cards can walk. if the walk out the wrong way when you power the pc up they can short out. a quick check and reseat can keep the magic smoke from commng out of your pc.
