Ok so i already have a pretty good pc for gaming and recording gameplays. But i need a 2nd pc to record and stream while i play on my main computer, also my girlfriend needs something to use because i dont like to give up mine. So i was wondering is it possiible to play a pc game on my main computer (windows 7) while the mac mini is recording it on another monitor?

The reason i am looking at the mac mini is because it has a decent price and i already have another monitor thats collecting dust. I was considering just getting a laptop but i cant find the one i want. So if u have any suggestions on a laptop thats at least an i5, with 8gbs of ram thats good for recording and editing, feel free to leave a link.

Im looking at the Mac Mini 2.6GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5 btw...

I can play a ps4 game on my PC monitor while I have the elgato recording program on my tv screen, on extended displays. so i can see both. But cant do that while im playing a PC game with extended displays. I dont know how else to explain it, but i get what your saying. Im looking into the NUC now. Thanks for your input.

I already have a elgato HD60. I been recording for awhile. I tried actually recording pc games on one monitor with the recording screen on another monitor, cant get it to work. I can only seem to do it while im recording console games. But i actually do need a 2nd pc. Its not just for me.

What does that mean? You can record one stream with that device, and it has one output, so the most you can do is one screen. Try to explain yourself better because that doesn't make sense.

If you need a second PC and don't need it for gaming or PCIe based recording, just get a NUC, it's faster than a mac mini and cheaper too.

Still lost everyone there because THAT'S NOT EXTENDED! You have two sources, a PS4 and a computer, each sending completely different signals to different monitors.

If you set BF4 to one screen and a video to another, you can record one screen using one HD60, and the recorded screen will be the one attached to the device. If you mean surround display mode (i.e. 3840x1080, using 2x 1920x1080p monitors) isn't being recorded, of course it won't, you have just one video input and two sources!
