Hey guys,
So I got a new modular PSU and learned the valuable lesson that you should not try to use the old cables from a different modular PSU. On the first start up I fried my 1TB WD Cavier Black HDD. Luckily my OS was on a 250GB SSD so I can still use the computer. Strangely enough the SSD's survived but the HDD did not even though they were on the same SATA cable.
As I type this I have all these dead icon's on my desktop and my computer is seriously confused trying to find all my photos videos programs from a HDD that is dead. Am I best to just scrub the OS and reinstall from scratch?
Also I ordered the Seagate 1TB SSHD to replace the Cavier Black...might be good.
P.S. Thank GOD I replaced the cables to the GPU and the Mobo/CPU I just upgraded to a 980TI and EVGA 850 from a Corsair CX750m
