Do I need to enable Intel HD Graphics before installing a new GPU and starting up the PC?

I have my Intel HD Graphics disabled, and now I want to uninstall my old nvidia gpu driver and put in my new GTX 970. Do I need to re-enable Intel HD Graphics so the PC doesn't start up with a black screen? Thanks.

Old card is a 960. I looked it up on the nvidia site and they indeed use the same driver. Thanks.

I agree, if you have the money. I did research before buying my parts, and found the 970 is up to 50% better than the 960.

They do use the same driver. So you should have no problem :)

Update: After building my PC, I discovered just how big these things are! xD
