I've gotten into debates and even heated arguments when trying to ask my friend who are PC owners how to do this. I need expert advise, or at least helpful advise that doesn't make me feel stupid and angry.

Here is a link to a parts list I have put together to make an Editing, rendering, streaming, and gaming rig that will last http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RWwC3C

OK, then I suggest you ask again around end of March. Send me a message at that time by clicking on my handle.

Until then, for only about $100 more than your original config, you can have this that will beat the pants off the original build. :)

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Xeon E5-1630 V3 3.7GHz Quad-Core OEM/Tray Processor ($369.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X41 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($99.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock X99 Extreme6/3.1 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($273.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2800 Memory ($179.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850...
Why are you getting into debates with your fried? What contentious issues might there be?

I mean that build is far from perfect and it includes a lot of unnecessary stuff that adds nothing, as well as that it's not an optimal build.

So I need to know where you're coming from before I venture to give advice.

Our issues are more along the line of Nvidia vs amd video cards, how many cores my processor should have, and that I can't really build a PC that does Rendering, Picture and video editing, and gaming very well.

There is a lot of stuff to consider but I don't have a lot of time to reserch everyday.

That PC build is largely me just throwing some ideas at the wall. And using those parts to learn about the hardware.

Yeah. Well betwee. 2.5k and 3k. I am a professional, but I don't need An extremely professional rig.

I mostly need a machine that does the a previously stated things and can be powerful enough to still be powerful in five years.

I'll be starting school and work here soon as well as a long standing project. So I'll need to have a reliable machine that can go without an upgrade for 5 or so years

The current high-end processors are a tad aged. Not bad, and they're still extremely capable. Right now they're selling at a steep discount since we're expecting the new range at the end of March. Do you want to go with current processors like in your build or do you want to hold off for about 6-8 weeks?
