So I set a build to use a Maximus VII Hero but could not find a store.

The things I want in a board which got my attention are these:

1. High quality gaming optimized ethernet
2. Maximum possible audio quality minus a dedicated component
3. Ramdisk
4. Potential future clocking
5. Awesome visuals

I get that a few of the advantages:

are probably marketing gimmicks.

I would not know too well which are trustworthy but as I understand primarily the ethernet is while there are plenty of ramdisk programs and the sound receives conflicting reviews.

There are claims that a supremefx was nothing but standard audio rebranded, but I know a maximus 2 included a Creative driver.

Solution
1. The best ethernet solution is Intel. Killer NIC isn't as cool as you are probably led to believe.

2. For the mot part the audio output on motherboard is always improving, Most modern motherbard that are 'gaming' grade will have special audio layouts now to help get a cleaner signal to noise ratio.

Supreme FX is exactly that, a specially designed section on the motherboard dedicated to clean audio. It's a small improvment over most motherboard audio.

Fairly common feature on high end boards now.

You won't be able to beat a Soundcard or DAC.

3. Ramdisk is software, your motherboard won't stop you from utilising this feature. all you need is a large amount of RAM.

4. Overclocking is also a very common feature, it's standard for...

Hope that clears up some of your points of interest, and helps you make a better decision in the end.

Where is a board I could find to support similar ethernet/audio quality?

Thank you.

Considering but I want Haswell primarily because Windows 7 can have trouble with a skylake.
