Hello, today I want to ask for help regarding the monitor and graphics card for my new desktop.
Though I am buying this desktop for gaming, I don't play many games.Highly moded Oblivion,Fallout 3 and NV,The witcher 1,2 and 3 are the games I own now.Since Fallout 4 is out and I want to buy it I need a pc that is capable of running it,I would also end up modding it later. These games stay in my HD for years, sometimes I play it,add a new mod-then play it.

I want to play at 1080p, I don't want to play it at 4k resolution.
I have a 19.5" Dell monitor,i7-4790k, 16 GB of ram,a liquid cooler.

I can't decide between Nvidia Gtx 960-4 GB or Nvidia Gtx 970-4GB, so I want to ask which card I should be getting.
Should I also change my monitor?
I need a 4 GB card since mods eat up memory too fast.
Any help,guide,answers are highly appreciated.

Sorry for editing, I also have a 650 watts power supply.
Well, after reading a bit it seems that it is better to wait for the new series of cards to be released.
Still,is my monitor capable of running games in 1080p?

Totally agreed..... Get msi gtx 970 or asus 970 or any other depending on your need. Well all of them are almost similar besides that msi has really done well on designing the circuit and it cools better than any other gtx 970 i know.

Monitor likely isn't much of an issue, though there are some really nice monitors for ~200

As for the card, 970 will let you get 60fps max settings on most games at 1080p, though witcher 3 might need a few settings lowered. 960 will handle your list up to 3 at max settings at 1080p, the other two at medium.

As for the power supply, what supply? 970 can be quite finnicky and will cause low quality PSUs to whine

I would also recommend a 970. One from any reputable seller (MSI, ASUS, etc.) should be fine. If you don't play graphics-intensive games, go with a 960. Still good, just not as good.
