Most games today will use at least 1GB of VRAM when available, so you should stay away from anything that has less than 2GB.
In terms of raw GPU-power, they are otherwise the same - the 250X is a 7770 rebadge.

If you are looking at cards like the 7770 then I would highly recommend the GTX750ti. Save up just up bit longer and it'll pay off! The 750ti will have more lifetime in your system because it's faster than the other two chips, has more VRAM and can get a nice OC. (Even the lower 750ti's that are about £120 can get a very nice overclock!

Did you make sure your system can run those cards and the CPU will not be the bottleneck?
I'd go with the 250X of those two even though they are really the same card, due to it just being newer model and more RAM. But other cards may be better for you depending on how much you are paying for those.
For about the same price the R7 360 or the nVidia 750 are faster (with the 750 Ti being even faster but about $20-30 more).
