I soon plan to buy the Asus z170-A motherboard for a custom PC build. I do lots of gaming, and 802.11n wifi just doesn't cut it. Since that board doesn't support 802.11ac, what can I do to make it compatible with that? My router already outputs a 802.11ac or 5GHz signal, so I hope that makes it easier.

Two Options:
1) Install a dual-band PCIe WiFi network card in to a compatible slot on the motherboard:

Or
2) Buy a dual-band USB WiFi adapter:

However, as previous poster hinted, you'd be far better with a wired LAN connection, especially when gaming.
It's faster, more stable & more reliable than any WiFi setup, & without the hassle of interference from other nearby WiFi networks.

One more question. I have xFinity wifi, and I went on speedtest.net to see my internet speeds. My download speed tends to be in between 15-20Mbps, and my upload 10-15Mbps. Is this fast enough for online gaming, streaming HD content and stuff like that?
