Hey Guys, I was looking to upgrade some parts in my pc. I'm still somewhat new to this so I wasn't 100% sure. I guess my ultimate goal would be to run it at 4k sometime in the next year. My specs are

I7 4790s cpu, Gigabyte H81-D3 motherboard, 12gb DDR3, Geforce gtx 970, 750 watt PS, raidmax vampire full tower, and a 1080p 14 inch dell monitor.

Off the bat I already want a new mb so I can sli down the road if I wanted and more space for ram, if ever needed. As far as graphics cards go I don't really know what else to get besides a 980 ti, titans seem to expensive. Definitely a modular PS for cable management reasons. And maybe even a different case, was looking into corsair brand and liked the look of them.

Any input would be great on parts, what not to upgrade or what to hold out on.

Solution
1) What exactly is the brand and model of the PSU? If it is high quality but just non-modular, why not keep it? Just hide the cables.
2) 12GB of RAM doesn't look good. Make sure it is one of these following configs to ensure dual-channel mode and stability: 2x2, 2x4, 2x8, 4x4, 4x8.
3) Yes, a good mobo would be a good idea if you want to SLI.
4) Wait for Pascal - see what that has to offer. Maybe you will find a great alternative to the 980 Ti.

Cheers :)
