I just recently had a problem with my new built PC. Really low fps and high load times. Everything was running perfect until two days ago. I can't get above 40 fps on any game and load times are easily 3x longer than they were before. I've done all the driver updates and Microsoft Security Essentials scan found nothing.

Specs:
Windows 7 professional 64
MSI ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97-G45 GAMING
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB (200GB free space)
NVIDIA GTX 970
Intel i5-4590 3.30

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Tom's Hardware, jmpryor88!

I'd recommend you to use the SSD manufacturer's brand-specific tool to check if you have the latest firmware update for it. I'd also try using a different SATA cable with the drive and make sure everything is mounted properly inside the case.
You might also want to test the SSD's health and check up on its SMART data using a specific diagnostic tool.

I'd also suggest you update the SATA controller and chipset drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website manually, instead of Windows Updates. Unfortunately, those drivers tend to be more generic and often - outdated.

Hope this helps. Good luck! :)
