RealTek HD Audio Driver Config issues with 5.1 surround - ASUS Z87

Hi, I have an older Sony receiver hooked up via optical to my Asus Z87. With both Windows XP and 7, I somehow had it configured using the Windows Media Center "sound setup" tool to play sound from all 5 speakers properly. Since Windows 10 doesn't have WMC, how can I configure the speakers? Only 2 (side left, side right) play audio.

I have the latest Win 10 RealTek audio driver for my mobo (version 6.0.1.7525, July 2015).

The configure button is greyed out in the Playback audio interface.

I'm sure my speakers work from the receiver because on other inputs audio plays from all 5 speakers.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Gina

Hello... 1) is your receiver DTS 5.1 compatible? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DTS_(sound_system)
2) Determine your receiver Optical format/communication/Type it needs... and see if your "ASUS Realtek" APP will set it to it.
3) I have found Older versions of "REALTEK APP" offer other output formats options... install the Version you were using before.
4) Try "Properties" in your first post for more options.
5) un-install the "Asus Realtek" App and install a "Realtek" APP for different output/settings options... http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/

Hi - how do I do that? I looked there previously but couldn't figure out where the speaker setup options are. I went to the options area (gear at the top), tried double clicking on things, etc. The "default format" tab shows DTS 5.1.
