Okay. I built my PC about a month ago. Was working great so far. But today, I went in game (cs:go) and gpu started making a weird buzzing noise. As soon as I tabbed out of game, it stoped (NOTE: I didnt close game, just tabed out to my browser). Once I went back to game, buzzing noise came back aswell.
Turning the game off stopped the noise, but if I move the mouse, it starts again. (a bit different type of noise tho. More high pitched).

Here is my PC setup:

  • Intel Core i5 4590
    R9 380 4GB
    Gigabyte H81M-D2V
    8GB ram (ddr3)
    240GB ssd
    EVGA 600B
    Windows 10, 64 bit

Any ideas what could be the issue?

Not really, a coil whine can start after a couple months even 1 year. It is completely related with your usage of the GPU. Unless you buy from a serious company (Sapphire for example), all R9 cards tend to have a coil whine (I personally did not see any of Sapphire cards have. I saw XFX has, Gigabyte has, no idea about MSI and ASUS etc). The factories even AMD cannot explain why (or they do not want to), but it is exist. If your GPU runs hotter than a threshold ( I don't know maybe 70, 80 degrees), it starts. I am so sorry about the issue, but there is also no real solution for it. Maybe (It is very low probability) changing the psu may help.
Sorry.
