Will the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo fit in a Cooler Master TC-102 case?

My mobo on my 8 year old system is dying at the worst time economically and I need to put together a new budget rig.

What I had in mind was an overclocked G3258 cpu on a H81M-P33 mobo in a Cooler Master TC-102 Mid ATX case. The case is cheap and come with what seems to be an acceptable psu and I need to save as much as I can on this build.

Will the Cooler Master Hyper 212 fan fit? If not, what cooling and/or case can you recommend on the cheap?

I doubt you'll get it that high (and stable) even with a 212 EVO unless you happen to luck out with the silicone lottery. But give it a try.
You may want to consider one of the small 120mm liq coolers if you can't find a low enough air cooler.

Or go with a low profile air cooler. I'm not sure how current this is, but here are some to look at: http://www.frostytech.com/top5_lowprofile_heatsinks.cfm

I doubt it. That case is just a tad over 7" wide. The 212 EVO is 6 1/4" tall itself. Besides, the little dual core wouldn't need that kind of cooling anyway.
Your best bet is to measure from the CPU to the side panel of the case before putting the stock cooler on. Then search for a cooler that is within those dimensions.
Or simply look for one of the low profile coolers around.

Btw, this little cooler is only ~5 3/8" tall and would be enough for the G3258: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA66K2044605&cm_re=tx3-_-35-103-064-_-Product
I've had it in a 7 1/2" wide case with room to spare. You might want to try it.
