My office building floor is not level and forces me to lean to the right all day. This is causing discomfort (PAIN) in my lower back. I am seeking a office chair that has a mechanism to level the seating position even though the base is not level. My chiropractor has suggested finding a new job, but I am going to pursue this avenue first. ;p

Any ideas ?

Currently I am using a piece of wood (could not take it anymore), and I am enjoying a lot of office humor for my "redneck" solution. This is working but is annoying and is / will shorten the life of this chair (by a lot).

You have a very strange issue here.

I do not see how wedging the chair will shorten its life. If anything it is better for the chair since the support(piston or screw) is not made to take weight sideways.

I have not seem chairs that offered side to side adjustments like that.

You may be able to wedge the seat itself just over the piston, but under the actual seat. This will allow the wheels to still roll around as needed(may need longer bolts), but again it still places some stress on the piston(should be no worse than leaning back on a chair.).

They need to get that floor fixed or build a level subfloor on it.
