Can you run multiple HDMI displays off one HDMI (or display port) card output?

Hardware:
[strike]Maximus VIII Hero Alpha mo-bo:[/strike] Looks like it has (1) HDMI and (1) Display port output.
Card is: Asus GTX980Ti Matrix (if that helps)

GOAL: Three monitor setup.

CHALLENGE: Two of the monitors only have HDMI input.

QUESTION: Is it possible to use one HDMI output to two get a input on two monitors?

[I'm assuming I could use one display port out and daisy chain to three monitors. However, I'm trying to save money on (2) of the monitors and buy cheaper ones. They don't have the displayport inputs. I may end up going this route, if possible, but it looks to cost about $40-$80 more for a similar pair of displays that has the display port inputs.]

?? I'm thinking this is backward connection ??
I'm planing on running the (1) display port from the card to the main monitor display port input.

Then, I'm trying to figure out how to use the (1) HDMI card port to go to two HDMI monitor connections. Or, am I misunderstanding your solution?

I'm assuming it doesn't. But don't know. That's why I'm asking :) :bounce:

[I'm not sure what the boincing dude is for---so I threw him in there for fun].

If it ends up being $30-40 to buy an adapter, I'll probably just buy (3) monitors with display ports. If that's the solution, I'm assuming it's possible to them at different resolutions? (1) @ UHD and (2) at 1080i. That would be for general work purposes. Then when I want to game I would just use the UHD monitor. ??

Steve,
Not sure if that will work. I can't tell from the spec's provided, but comments from viewers seem to indicate that this is a "duplicate" image. I'm not looking to duplicate image. I want more workspace across two monitors.

One reviewer suggested this little ah heck. It seems like it might split into two separate images (one for each monitor). However, at $47, I think I would just buy two monitors that each cost $25 more and have displayports one them.
[edit] forgot the link-- http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-BlackbirdTM-Scaler-Audio-Extractor/dp/B01AIMXPKQ/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455583995&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Blackbird+4K+1X2+HDMI®+Splitter+10249

If that's the case, can anyone confirm that I can daisy chain (3) monitors off one display port card output.?

In case anyone else is building this system, here's what I've figured out:

I've got build together, and there are (3) DP's. Two on card, one of mo-bo. I don't have all three monitors yet, but it looks like it won't be a problem to link them up either daisy chain or each one to its own port.
