I have been having issues with a new PC. Everything runs normally until I play games. It lets me play for about a minute before the computer restarts. I am monitoring temps and they never go past 48C when gaming. I suspected the CPU and got it replaced but no dice. I used an old Athlon II to diagnose problems, and never have any issues gaming with the smaller CPU. As soon as I switch to the fx 6300 and try to game, the PC restarts. Does this mean it is a PSU issue?

Running hdd tests/memtest 86 asap.

AMD FX 6300 (Cooler Master EVO 212)
Asus Strix 960 2gb
MSI 970 Gaming motherboard
8gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600mhz
EVGA 750W G2 PSU

Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes actually, I found a few critical 41 errors about it shutting down unexpectedly. Does this mean the PSU is faulty for sure? Could it be anything else? If everything works well with a smaller processor, could an upgrade in processor really kill it?

Are there any other suggestions/programs to rule out/in a faulty PSU? I would think the fact that everything runs smoothly on a lower end CPU might mean everything else works properly?
