I am about to upgrade my PC and I wish to know of the best motherboard to upgrade to considering my needs and if Skylake is worth the price difference over Haswell, here are the current components that make up my PC;
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66GHz
RAM: 6GB RAM DDR2
Memory: Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD / 640 GB HDD
Motherboard: ASUS P5Q SE PLUS
OS: Windows 10 Home
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 OC WINDFORCE2X 2GB
PSU: OCZ ZX Series 850W 80+ GOLD
Monitor: Acer G246HLBbid 24" LED LCD HDMI Monitor
Sound Card: Speakers (VIA High Definition Audio)
Speakers: Logitech Z623 2.1 35W
Keyboard: SUMVISION Spectrum LED
Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus Core
Computer Case: Fractal Design Define R3 (Black Pearl)
I am looking to replace the following components, with the following;
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M5
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 390 8GB Video Card
Considering that I am unlikely to want to add much more to my set up at any point other than simply upgrading and am not particularly interested in overclocking would the motherboard I chose be suitable for me?
