Hello,

I have the game minecraft and I currently get about 80-120 fps. I have used a ton of recorders (all full version) such as: Fraps, Bandicam, MSI Afterburner, and some others. I don't know why this happens but I drop to 20fps and nothing higher when I click the record button. If anyone can help, that would be great. I can play GTA V and CS:GO without lag even when I am recording ( with bandicam. I am using bandicam permanently but i am open to new softwares) but when I play minecraft i get good fps. When I record minecraft, then I lag all the way to 20 fps.

Thx

Try reinstalling Minecraft with either the installer, or if you had that before without. If you're using the version with Java, uopdate it to the latest version.
Hope that helps :D

Minecraft has rather bad programming, it uses a lot of resources. I recommend you to buy a capture card, it's a device you connect to your PCs video out, you can record it without influencing performance

So I searched up capture cards for pc because i a using a laptop and they are pretty expensive for me. I can't really buy ANYTHING so i have to deal with what i have got. I have a very good laptop and i get 100 fps without recording. I have a spare monitor available but i think it i need to buy some cables for it. Can i maybe connect my laptop to a seperate monitor and then will my recordings be better or same. I think it is something wrong with my minecraft honestly
