Hey folks! I recently bought 2x2gb Komputer bay ram memories. These are DDR2-800. I put them on my old system. Which is as follows:

Motherboard: MSI K9AGM2-F
CPU: Amd athlon 64 x2 5600+

This computer has like 6+ years now. I hadn't used for like the past two years, and then revived it, everything was working fine. Although one time, I removed the old 1gb memory it had, and got some hard time trying to get the computer get back to work again (red flag).

Then I upgraded the ram, bought a GeForce 9400GT 1GB DDR2. Everything ok. I have been playing and the computer shutted down a couple of times. Now with the 2x2gb memories in, it shuts himself down after a few seconds of starting, I can even get a signal on the monitor. I tried cleaning the slots and the motherboard, tried the old 1gb memory it had and in one slot it shuts down, and in the other it keeps working but with no video.

To finalize, I have nothing else plugged in, not even the HDD, and the computer does not shut itself down if there's not any memory plugged in. So, what do you guys think it could be the problem?
Maybe power supply?
Maybe all the ram is just damaged? Or is it the motherboard that already gave up to life?
Thanks for the answers!

EDIT: I just got me a Asrock 960gc-gs FX (which is great because it supports amd2/am3 and drr2/3. So I can reuse all my components and have the possibility to upgrade) and everything is up and running. At the end, it was the motherboard as I first suspected.

Hey, thanks both for your answers. I was thinking it was the psu too, since they brake more often than motherboards. I was actually going to get new one today, but the shop was closed. So I bought some heat paste, to discard a cpu-heating problem.
Result: the same thing. I also tried a very old psu (which I don't know if it's working) but the same result.
I have an old BioStar motherboard, with no ram, and both psu won't shut down with this board.

I tried again on my computer and it doesn't start anymore, not even the CPU fan, so I said, the psu died, but it's starting on the other motherboard, so I guess it's safe to say my current motherboard died, right?
