what is a dx11 feature level 10.0

Every time I try to play the game ARK: SURVIVAL EVOLVED a message pops up saying that DX11 feature level ten is needed to run this, I don't know what that means, or is.. Also the game runs on my laptop, but my laptop cant handle the game, so it crashes every time. please help me?


my computer is a HP Windows 2007

It means you need at least a DirectX 10 capable GPU to run the game. If your system is from 2007 and only has Intel integrated graphics, then you probably only have a DirectX 9 GPU, and that's why the game won't even launch. On a system that old a GPU upgrade might not do you much good, as the CPU would be really outdated and would have a hard time keeping up with Ark, a game that isn't well optimized and doesn't run all that well even on new hardware.
