I've purchased an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 for future use of WIFI (using ethernet for now), but mainly to use the Bluetooth function.

The problem I'm facing is that while I can get the WiFi function to work, I am unable to get the Bluetooth to work. Checking Device Manager doesn't show the Bluetooth Device, but rather displayed as "Unknown Device" within Universal Serial Bus controllers.

I've tried the following:

  • Installing drivers/softwares through CD
    Installing drivers/softwares through website
Installing drivers/softwares through Intel Driver Update Utility

I believe that the problem may be that I am plugging in the Bluetooth cable into my motherboard incorrectly. The manual states to plug it into the Front Panel USB Header, but my motherboard does not show the "D-" "D+" illustrated in the instruction manual.

My motherboard is a GA-H97-D3H.

The manual in question.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yeah... this is actually a known problem with intel wifi/bluetooth cards, it affects a lot of laptops as well. Not sure if this is a manufacturing problem or simply a bad driver, but your symptoms are pretty much identical to countless other people's experiences with these intel wifi/bluetooth cards.

wish i had a solution for you. but last time i checked there still was no solution short of returning the card and getting something else.
