At this moment in time i am completely at a loss as to what the issue could possibly be hence why i'm posting this.
The current build i'm working on includes the AMD FX 8320 CPU and the Asus M5A97 Evo R2.0 Motherboard which i know they are compatible with each other, after intense research on the components before purchase. this is the 6th build i have been working on in the past year and is the only one that i have been having issues with. (all other builds had different CPUs and motherboards however)
When fitting everything, all slots together nicely. and no complications other than the CPU LED on the motherboard appearing as RED. After a little further research i found that the BIOS was out of date so that had been updated in order to support the CPU that was being fitted, i also change the power supply from a 4pin to an 8pin ATX PSU. I have reseated all hardware and even made such that the RAM has been changed also.
At a push i have also changed the heatsink and Fans for the CPU and still the RED LED CPU light still stands. I had previously tried a MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard with this CPU but had issues with the motherboard on that occasion.
I currently do not have a spare CPU or Motherboard to test one or the other in order to rule out which is having the issue. If there is anyone that has the same component configuration which is able to help or someone which might have any addition help in order to get my main computer back up and running again, i would be greatly appreciated.
