High Physical Memory When Running An Application - WIndows 8.1

Whenever I run an application turns out high physical memory while window 7 is running 40% to 50% when running google chrome while windows 8.1 runs google chrome around 60-70-80% Takes time to grow.... any ideas to fix these please help I'll appreciate it.

It really depends how much ram you have. Chrome only eats 200mb for me so I doubt it will make that much of a difference. The amount of tabs you have open will also increase you ram utilization.
