I am looking to build my first gaming pc using a Zotac GTX 980 Ti Amp Extreme edition gpu. One thing that is concerning me is that the gpu is quite large and im not entirely sure what motherboards have enough clearance for it without getting in the way of other components. Any suggestions on where i should start looking? If it all works out, i would also like to add a second gpu in the future so i need a motherboard recommendation that would work best for this. Thanks.

i was looking at the Cooler Master Haf X case, looks quite large. only thing im concerned about that theres large airflow vent on the side that sits overtop where the graphics card would go. the case looks really nice but that overhanging vent may get in the way. could just cut it down i suppose hah

With that case you could fit any graphics card. You should be fine.

the back of that one looks different that what i see online. i was looking at this kind of case, my bad for not specifying, but my concern comes in with the side panel fan that has a large vent that goes right over the gpu.
the way the board is designed with better quality of capacitors , better heatsnk design , overclocking capability
ROG or republic of gamers built a sound , stable and near perfect board ..since i had my Maximus VII hero board i ran the system all night and even without WATER COOLING....it never got hot....at all. ROG boards start near $200.00 dollars.. but i promise you its the best and only board you will buy. i ran 3 benchmarks and Catzilla and placed on the list as a sound machine and it runs quies and ihave all 4 fans at hi -speed.
