Hyperthreading can make your CPU run a bit hotter, so disabling can help a bit if your temperatures are getting too hot under Prime95. That said, the point of Prime95 is to test stability and thermals under your normal use conditions, so if you are overheating with hyperthreading on, you probably need to upgrade your cooling or dial back your overclock a bit so you don't need as high a voltage. If you need to disable hyperthreading to keep your overclock, you'll have to decide if overclocking that high is even worthwhile, as disabling hyperthreading can lead to a sizable performance hit if you're using software that is multithreaded well enough.
Also keep in mind you need to use Prime 95 Version 26.6 or earlier for Haswell CPUs. Newer versions include AVX instructions that will create ludicrously high temperatures regardless of what cooling you use. If you need to use AVX instructions in anything outside of a stress test, you may have to forego overclocking.
