Recently finished building my pc and when booting up i was faced with power but no display. With some research i then booted without storage (removed hdd and ssd) and suddenly my bios boots.
Is my storage faulty?

Any help is appreciated

Hey there, benj827!

I'd advise you to go into BIOS and make sure you have configured the storage there properly. Are you able to boot into Windows from the installation media?
You can also try reseating the CMOS battery on the motherboard and reset BIOS, just to see if that will help you recognize your SATA devices. I'd also make sure that the SATA ports where you connect them are enabled from the BIOS settings as well.
Since it's a brand new PC rig, you should have only the SSD connected while installing Windows on it. If you have the HDD connected as well, you might encounter an OS confusion. I'd recommend you to try installing Windows first, and then plug the secondary HDD. If you need assistance with the step-by-steps, I'd...

If you need assistance with the step-by-steps, I'd advise you to read through some Windows Install & Optimization guides for SSDs & HDDs.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes! :)
