I hope I can explain this okay... about a month and a half ago my computer started doing this strange thing where I'll be in the middle of opening a file, or typing or switching tabs in firefox. All of the sudden, the folders on the desktop would open non-stop, (only if I click it) even when I press X, it would open again and wouldn't stop. Only way to stop it, is to shut down the computer, and then turn it back on and normally it would stop. However, today, that wasn't the case. It continued to do it and the only way to stop it was to open task manager and end the process of a couple programs, IE; skype, and other stuff.

When this is happening, if i press START, it automatically clicks SHUT DOWN and then shuts the computer off, even if I don't press the mouse button. And when the computer turns on, it starts up with a beeping sound, which sounds 2 times and it sounds like a bit of a grinding noise... best way to describe that noise. And when all this happens and I turn on the computer any other time, that beeping noise doesnt happen.

Also, while task manger is open, it shows that EXPLORER is using over 200K in memory rather than like 49K like it shows as I'm tying this.

When this happens, I cannot use the computer at all. and when I clicked on a folder, in processes, it shows a title as DFSVC.exe ONCECLICK, and that shows up a bunch of times. And when I click a file, I 100% have to double click it to open, but when this is happening, it opens with just 1 click

I'm sorry this is really long... if you can't understand what I'm explaining, last time this happened, I was able to capture it on video, which you can see here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R-wr0uK2_E and please ignore all the icons haha, i do a lot of recording of gameplays (which I delete the RAW files once I'm done editing,) and those icons are mostly of the thumbnails I make ect... since this video, those icons are now gone lol

This file DFSVC.exe looks like it belongs to a worm. If ccleaner is installed go to tools/startup (if dfsvc.exe is here) delete it, then reboot

First thing I would do is turn system restore off.

This]http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2004-080412-0803-99]This worm according to the Symantec site steals files[/url]

The other worm does the same thing

I would boot into safe mode / networking. Get trojan remover from here download then update it. Then click on scan

If it picks anything up tell it to remove it. Then reboot. Then select all options under the utilities menu. So everything gets reset

I'm not sure if a fresh install can happen at this time... last time I tried, which was mid-2015, the CD for the PC couldn't be read and it seemed more like an issue with the CD drive than a CD issue. I can try again, but I dunno if it will work.

Plus, if I had a virus... why doesn't it happen more often? Why every few weeks? Cause the last two times, it happened 2 weeks+ apart. I know all viruses can be different, but it's just strange to me how its every so often.
