So i did get a new Asus GTX950 2gb a cheap upgrade for my XFX Radeon 6870.

After installing a did a clean all hardrives and a fresh windows install. Installed newest drivers gpu/bios.

Every thing worked fine until i tried World of warships the lagg was just horrible ingame.
After whole weekend of trying diffrent ways i could'nt just get it working so i reinstalled the Radeon and cleaned the GTX drives and games run normal again.
The software for monitoring the gpu only showed about 0-30% vram usage.

Here is a small list what i tried.
Newest. GPU drivers, Secend newest drivers, Drivers with the CD
Cleaned hard drives so no need to remove old drivers for Radeon.
Bios drivers
Windows updates.
Extern power supply for the card 520watts
Did remove second monitor dp port. Should'nt affect but still.

Here is the spec for the computer.
Motherboard : P8H61 Rav 3
12g Ram 4+8 at 1333Mhz speed DDR 3 cant remember the brand
I3 2120 3.33GHz
500watt AXP Silent power.

The card it self works but it does not give the power for it when gaming. Even multitasking in Windows does give small laggs.
I ordered a whole new set for the chassi. Powersupply, Motherbord, CPU, Ram. To test the card out in a new system but until then i would want to know what might be the reason for it not working in the old system.

What els can there be for it not to work well ?

The GTX 950 really isn't an upgrade for your 6870 (other than DX12 support which the game probably doesn't even take advantage of yet). And with only an I3 CPU your going to run into bottlenecks with a more powerful GPU.

The two GPU's are pretty much on par as far as pure horsepower...

In other words, to bump up to something like a GTX 960 you'd also need to upgrade your CPU to an I5-3470/3570.
