Not sure if this is the right place to ask this and not even sure if ill even sound clear asking it but here goes

I'm Upgrading a pc that has windows XP on it to windows 7 , I am installing windows 7 on a new hard drive but want to leave the other drive in so Ill be able to transfer my big files from that drive (for example my Guild wars 2 install which is over 25gb) to the windows 7 drive. What I do NOT want to happen is my start up screen offering a dual boot option. I want it to load my 7 drive only and the other one to simply show up as a storage drive, both drives are Western Digital blue sata 500gb Hard drives.

My plan is to first unplug the Xp drive from the system and install windows 7 by itself then after boot up ,, file updates drivers Etc ,,,,then, Ill hook up the second drive so i can transfer files. I'm just not wanting the thing to dual boot mode every time i boot up is all. sorry bout the long wind just wanted to be clear.. Am I going to even have an issue if I do it this way or is there some things i need to know?

.....Thank you in advance for replies.
