I am optimizing my laptop for use with Cubase 8.5 DAW. I have a Dell XPS 15 9530 with a 4th gen Intel core i7-4712HQ 6M cache up to 3.3 GHz. I have 16 Gb (2x8Gb) DDR3L 1600 MHz RAM. If I'm reading the Intel site correctly, I can use up to 32 Gb of RAM. Newegg has Crucial RAM with these specs for $319 or Mushkin for $249. Is the crucial worth the extra money? Are their any other brands I should consider?
