Power phase wattage for overclocking question

I currently have a AMD FX-6350 and bought a aio cooler planning to overclock more than before since I had a 212 evo but I can't and I am presuming it is because of the power phases and cheaper board. I have a Asrock 970m Pro3 and Biostar TA970 motherboard. Both of the boards have a 4+1 phase power delivery and max cpu support up to 140w. I was wondering if a ASRock 990fx killer with a 8+2 power phase would be better for overclocking. The 990fx killer says up to 140w watts aswell but has a 8+2 phase instead of a 4+1. My fx 6350 is at 4.4ghz and any more it just becomes unstable. Temps are not a issue as I have a Kraken x61 aio liquid cooler. I can get the asrock 990fx killer board for cheap and sell one of the other boards. I was wondering if the added power phases will help me overclock more than 4.4ghz. I was confused since the 970m board has a worse power delivery but supports 140w just like the 990fx killer. I also figure since my 6350 is 125w stock at 3.9ghz and at 4.4ghz and a voltage bump it should be right at that 140w mark on my current board. Money is not an issue, just want to get the most from my cpu and watercooler.

Yes, it can't go any further as it has issues once being raised. I wanted to see if the other board was better for overclocking due to the increased number of power phases so I could end up cranking up the voltage and having more room to raise the clock speed.
