Hi everyone, this issue has been bugging me for some time now. My PC suddenly reboots when I play games when I set their settings to medium, Example games are Dota 2, CSGO, WarFrame, Creativerse, FireWatch and etc. The thing is, if I put those games in the lowest settings in video/graphics, it is playable and I don't experience any reboots. I'm afraid to check my PSU because I might damage it if I open it up. What I did to diagnose are these things:

1.) Transferring my RAM to others slots.
2.) Using memtest
3.) Using prime95 for stress test
4.) I clean my PC from dust
5.) Added new thermal paste for my CPU and GPU( properly place *i think)
6.) I got 5 120mm fans( 3 intake, 2 exhaust)
7.) CPU is in AIO liquid cooling, cleaned the radiator and its fans.
8.) I can't remove my video card since my mobo does not have an on board graphics chip.
9.) Did some research, some say that my PSU is dying, some told me that my unit is over heating.
10.) I don't have extra PSU, GPU, and CPU to test.

MY SPECS:

CPU - AMD FX-8350
GPU - NVIDIA GTX 650ti boost OC edition
PSU - CORSAIR VS550
MOBO - GIGABYTE 970A-DS3P
RAM - G.Skills RipJaws X 8GB

Thanks for reading my thread. Appreciate it a lot guys.

The quality of a PSU goes on a model-by-model basis. Corsair for example has crappy units (if you'll excuse my language) like the VS and CX but they also have some of the top units on the market (RMx and RMi series, AXi).

If you want to find a good replacement on your own check this...

Hello and thank you for taking your time to reply. I did not know that VS series from corsair are not that good in terms of reliability, For weeks now I've been doing some research about good PSU's for future investments, if I may ask you, Is the seasonic and superflower brand a good choice?. for example, I am looking to buy a 750-850 watts gold or platinum full modular PSU if given the chance.

Thank you

If you want to find a good replacement on your own check this PSU list for general guidance. There's also one made by jonnyguru although I can't find that atm.

Thanks for this. I will definitely check this out right now. Sadly, I won't go to corsair anymore regarding PSU's. Thank you for the reply good sir and I will pick your last reply as the solution to my concern. :)
