PC becoming slow after a few hours

Hello, I recently got a 850 evo 250gb ssd and ive been loving it, but now it has started to settle into my pc with games, programs on it, my pc after a few hours of gaming, even on csgo (a source game) my gameplay seems to be stuttering and general use seems really slow, this means I have to restart and it is fine for again, another few hours. My system specs:

I5-4460
Gtx 960
EVGA supernova g2 650w
850 evo 250gb ssd ( 17gb left )
8gb corsair vengeance
MSI Gaming 5 Mobo

Yes, it was a space issue, I now have 40gb left on it, and it seems fine. Is that to do with the paging file thing?
