overclocking error on ram upgrade

upgraded my ram cards and got an over clocking error and computer wouldnt run until i switched the cards back. everything i read said the cards and motherboard were compatable so i dont know why i get this error.

Have a feeling it's the settings and/or CPU. It's fine that a mobo and DRAM are 'compatible' but to run DRAM at full spec, you need a CPU (actually the MC (memory controller) inside) that can carry the DRAM. What CPU, mobo and model of the DRAM
