I am looking to upgrade my video card. I have two PCI express slots one filled with an HD 6670 a friend gave me. I have some tax money coming in and I want to play fallout 4 in the worst way. Can I use a new card and the HD6670 or should i just sell it and use the money to get a better card. Also any advice on a new power supply?

Mobo: AsRock FM2-A85X
Processor: AMD A10-5800K w\ Radeon
Power supply: 500w
Ram: 16GB DDR3

You can do either one. But low end cards don't usually do well in CF or SLI. They don't always scale well and sometimes have micro stutter problems (although m-s isn't as bad as it used to be). As long as you have a "solid" 500W PSU, going with a single faster card like a GTX 960, R9-370X (when it arrives) would be better.

Thanks, are there any cards you would recommend for under 700 and are there any cards that don't work with an asrock motherboard?

If you have $700 you can do a lot to get some nice looking smooth gaming. Plus there is currently one game you can use mixed GPUs with. The game is called Ashes of The Singularity and here is some more info on card mixing:- http://www.anandtech.com/show/9740/directx-12-geforce-plus-radeon-mgpu-preview/4

As for lower end card and CPUs I don't know if it's possible or worth doing card mixing.

That old card does not support DX12, you may as well sell it and get a better card. and save up for an intel i5 and motherboard.

Is the board holding me back that much? I know my processor should probably be updated. Just want to play FO 4 on high and be able to multi screen

Now if I buy two cards like the GTX 960 I can crossfire them? Or am I better off buying one more expensive card? Also my computer won't start not unless I restart it a few times so I'm pretty sure my PSU is shot looking for a new one

Ok, that's not good about having to restart the PC a few times to get it working. Start saving up for a new PC, cos although it could be just PSU it may be the motherboard.

As for a new GPU, get one good one with a 3 year warranty rather than 2. Some games don't work with SLI/Xfire, some do work but you get other problems like micro stutter. I had 2 cards similar to yours, they were HD5870's in Xfire and some games were great, but ARMA 2 had no end of issues including microstutter and after a full year there was no fix so i switched to Nvidia. Some game would not even play such as Dirt 3, I had to disable one of the card everytime I wanted to play. Plus you end up using way more more power.

Any recommendations for a motherboard I was thinking about just sticking with ASRock and moving up to the extreme 7 just because it seems very compatible with most things. And the price point is not bad either. I may just keep my ram and case while upgrading everything else.
