Hey everyone I'm looking to do my first custom build and was wondering quick processor you would suggest. I will most likely be playing planetside 2, Overwatch and occasionally WoW.

Solution
The i7 5820k is overkill for gaming, even the i7 6700k is unnecessary for gaming. If you really want a overclockable i7, I would recommend the i7 4790k. This will be good at least 3-5 years into the future. However to specificly answer your question, the i7 6700k would be better because it is clocked at 4.0 GHz, while the i7 5820k is only clocked at 3.3 GHz.

Solution
To answer your question, I think the i5-6600K with a fair overclock is currently the best cpu available for gaming.
Few games can use more than 2-3 cores, so the extra cores or hyperthreads of a i7-5820K will hardly get used.
In the mean time, the superior core performance will help all games.
Here is what you can expect:
What percent can get an overclock at a somewhat sane 1.40v
I5-6600K
4.9 3%
4.8 38%
4.7 70%
4.6 85%

Alright I'm currently running an old i7 960 at stock speeds so I'm guessing 6700k it will most likely be
