(First of all, this is probably the wrong section but power supplies section wouldn't show on the list)

Well today after buying all the parts and building this new PC, I went to boot it up and guess what, forgot to change it from 110v to 220v... (Connected it to 220v while on 110v mode) Huge cloud of smoke came out of it and I quickly unplugged it. I removed the PSU and installed another one I had to check if the rest of the components were damaged. Luckly it booted up and it seems like everything is OK.
But I'm still wondering if it's possible for the original PSU to still be alive, so will it be safe to install it into the computer and trying to boot it up, or may it somehow damage the rest of the components?

Also how can I further check if the rest of the components weren't damaged at all?

If it's of any impotence the PSU was a cool power CP-G980 980W cheap 60$ PSU

Solution
The smoke was probably insulation on the wiring. I don't think I'd use it since there could be exposed wires touching and you could start a fire or electrocute someone.

I cannot find a solid review for that PSU. meaning one not on a site that sells the thing.
stress testing is the only way I know of. stressing may kill the part in question, but if its going to fail stressing will determine that.
