Could I use my CPU header for case fans MORE INFO please read

Okay my build will be the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo that has two CPU headers and three case headers, Corsair H100i and My case is the Corsair Air 540.The H100i will take up one 3 pin header and My case comes with three case fans.So with the H100i are any of My CPU headers taken up or would I have a free one to plug in my third case fan or are there any better solutions to use my case fans?

Many use one CPU header for the pump and the other for both fans on the rad. That leaves you with 3 mobo fan headers for your case fans

Thank you! I had heard that on the RAD the fans can plug straight into it's block do you know if that is true? But thank you for the solution!

Believe the H100i is like most, each fan has it's own cable and the unit comes with a y splitter, pug eac fan into the Y and the base of the Y cable into the the second CPU Fan Header
