so basically i didn't do any back round checks on the compatibility of my ram and i just added another 16 gigs of 2400MHz so now that i have 32 total my computer randomly freezes when i'm gaming sometimes and it will show error code 02 AP initialization before microcode loading so i hit memok and it was running fine then did it again now when it crashes it shows 04 PCH initialization before microcode loading so the mobo's booklet doesn't show my corsair ram under capability list for 2400 but shows it in 2133 and 2666 so do i have to get rid of it and get one of those? also i am pretty sure it did not crash at all when i had 16 installed. what would be a better set of ram over all or is there anything i can do to fix this problem or did i just waste my money?

Ok, i'm in my bios right now but i can't seem to find where to increase the voltage.i do see DRAM current capability (sets the shut-off current limit for the external DRAM voltage regulator. Its set at 100% and can be set in 110% 120% and 130%.... ok i found it but its all set on auto and im not sure how to manually adjust it

Ok i believe i did it correctly thanks so much for helping me, now im going to run a game and see if it crashes at some point and let you know. Also if this works is it better to have the ram running at 2133mhz or 2400mhz ?

ok, it hasnt crashed since then so thank you i think that did it :) . if i adjust it to 2400 will that voltage be fine as well? also 2 more questions. should i be running xmp profiles ? and in your opinion is there a better set of ram for my build you would have chosen over what i have?

I lean towards GSkill DRAM, generally stronger (OC headroom) and not paying extra for the name. I've got the 6600K and am currently using their TridentZ sticks, their Ripjaws V are right up there with the Zs. If thinking of changing the 2800-3000-3200 area looks best from a price to performance standpoint (might need a bit of a CPU OC to run to full data rate) . They have new models in all three data rates with a tight CL 14
