Cannot access hard disks, diskpart shows drives one min then not the next, used a disk clean app prior which caused the issue.

Hello, I'm having some serious issues with loss of four HDDs.
On Monday I ran a tool which was meant to clean and wipe "un-used space" only. 'R-Wipe&clear' I ran this to do its stuff on the two Seagate's, everything was fine, system still working fine (I'd also run this tool last month on an external plus the Samsung HDD so didn't expect issues)

So on Monday I decided to clear off some stuff in the background on the Corsair and still the system seemed fine but I got an error stating something had gone wrong. I couldn't access no media on one of the Seagate's but all the folders were there in tact and untouched. Specifically music was missing on this one drive. I immediately checked the other Seagate and everything seemed fine on there too. I couldn't run media player so decided to reset the system.....

Since then I don't know what happened but its been a nightmare.

Firstly the pc took around half an hour just to load up to the bios opt in screen, a further 45mins until the windows 10 logo then it just hung. No matter what I did I couldn't get the thing to work, also at this point my fans went crazy (usually max load temps of 42'o) and when id finally manage to get into bios the temps were the same. All drives were visible in bios but still it was taking hours to boot just to the logo screen. Then I got messages of scanning and repairing each drive but again it stuck at 9% or so and didn't move.

Over Monday into Tuesday I left the system until it eventually loaded but everything was crashing etc. As soon as I reset it was the same process of scanning and repairing, specifically both Seagate's. I gave up and unwired them and the system booted up better but this time it started to scan and repair the Samsung 120, now this is just used by my other half as a saving point for their uni work. it had been accessed since id used the clean tool three weeks before and hadn't been wiped on the Monday (that was just the c drive) I couldn't get on still.

Eventually through hours of faffing about I managed to load into cmd via w10 bootable usb. I used Diskpart and did a clean of the corsair then reinstalled windows. Same issue of slow loading and things not working correctly, so I unplugged the Samsung uni drive and low and behold everything worked fine. No issue, all other drives no problem either (never ran the tool on them at any point thank god!) as soon as I plugged in the Samsung uni drive slow loading and it took hours to get the system on again. At this point I noticed the drive is unreadable with no parameter's.

After trying four data recovery tools (every other wouldn't recover) I used 'getbackdata' this eventually allowed me to recover the important uni work.

So I set about trying to get the data on the Seagate's but first removed the Samsung uni drive, this is where it gets strange. Hours again to load windows - At first one was completely gone, or so it seems. The other would after a few resets show up but still I couldn't recover anything.

I tried either one on their own and after hours again it would finally load windows but nothing would work, File explorer would just crash or stop responding or the other perfectly working drives wouldn't load either.

If I reset the system wouldn't close down or power off and id have to do a hard power off. As soon as I removed the Seagate's, the problem was gone. I tried them on each and every port including the pci extender and the same problem. Then neither would show in Diskpart list.

Now I've rewired the system and tried ever combination with the other drives and they're all going smoothly, I've even bought a new SSD for windows just to be sure. This time around if I add a Seagate it loads perfectly but no drive is showing anywhere, not in disk management, diskpart or even the recovery tools. If I reset after adding one, the system once again slows down and low and behold I can see the drive in cmd or bios. Eventually windows loads then says it needs to reset and it fast loads and whichever drive is now gone!

Its driving me up the wall!!! everything was fine before I stupidly ran that tool. I really need some help. I'm out of ideas. I just need to recover the data, I'll buy new drives, not a problem. I just cannot understand what's the issue here. If I try and boot off cd or usb to access cmd or other tools also the issue of hanging is present the min I remove the drive hay presto its fine.

Like I said currently nothing is showing drive wise for the Seagate's until I shut down or reset then its suddenly groundhog day and I might as well watch paint drying while the system moves at a snails pace.

Try checking the systems cable/wiring from the motherboard and the hard drives. If everythings connected properly try testing the individual hdds in a seperate computer. Which may take something since you have 4 acting up.
