So I have MSI GS60 using GTX 860m and I want to upgrade I having debate which laptop to choose Asus ROG 752 (24gb Ram, GTX 970m or 980M) or MSI GT72S (GTX 980m + 32gb RAM).

Which one can handle better AAA game up to date.

Solution

Both of those laptops are ~$2000 (with 980m, on newegg). A single 980ti rig will put you at about $1300 (i5+980ti+z97+case, OS, PSU, etc), dual+monitor will be ~2000. Gaming laptops costing $2000+ are usually pointless unless, and considering he already has a gaming laptop it's even more of a stupid idea.
Both are pretty limited, why not spend that money on a real desktop that will be about twice as fast for the same price?

Of those two, either 980m will be equal in performance, though with the cost of those you can build a 980Ti SLI based desktop (or single 980Ti + a new surface pro 3 for work)

???

Where are you shopping that you can find that kind of pricing? Care to break it down here?

@ Lieu: What CPU do the particular models have? That'll have an effect on performance.

if they were compared from the specs they have, what I would say is that MSI GT72S and ASUS ROG752 are all good enough for you to play the high-end games...
However, MSI has many features that ASUS dose not have. such as Super Raid 4, steelseries, a year free Gamecaster, and Matrix display which i love, and also 4K screen is available for you.

if I got such budget you have, I would rather choose GT not GE....ORZ....
