Solution _Blink Feb 18, 2016 Yeah the DDR must match, and preferably the Mhz must match. 1800Mhz with 1800Mhz. The Mhz don't have to match. But if they don't, for example, 1300Mhz with an 1800Mhz, they will both run at 1300. It looks like your Motherboard only supports DDR4, so take care to not get DDR3 for it.

_Blink Reputable Jan 20, 2016 341 0 5,160 Feb 19, 2016 #5 Yeah it supports all these: "Support for DDR4 3866(O.C)/3733(O.C)/3666(O.C) /3600(O.C.) /3466(O.C.) /3400(O.C.) /3333(O.C.) /3300(O.C.) /3200(O.C.) /3000(O.C.) /2800(O.C.) /2666(O.C.) /2400(O.C.) /2133 MHz memory modules" source: http://www.gigabyte.co.za/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5478#sp I was just using 1800Mhz as an example Upvote 1 Downvote
